Default Very Weird connection state

So when i am in a high traffic area (e.g bard kiting, raids or even EC Tunnel if full enough) My connection hangs, it's like traffic can go out (e.g my tells, ooc and anything i type) but i can't get traffic back in, all of the PC's disappear and the NPC's sort of path off like they have no programming anymore.

I have tried turning all my particles off and to 0% opacity, but im wondering if anyone has ever experienced it before?

I can't even raid now and any content past 50 is going to be an issue.

When it is happening my ping is 250-300ms (what it is any other time) and i dont see any issues on any other programs accessing the net.

Am i bottle-necking? how do i fix this? I have seen others with higher Pings have no issues [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

changing your particles etc wont help sounds like a connection issue for sure. your ping might show 250-300ms, but in reality you may be spiking just long enough and just short enough that the EQ latency meter would rarely if never show it. 250-300ms is pretty high to begin with, being in a raid of even 50+ people will take a toll on you because of your latency. The same can be said for bard kiting, EC tunnel on blue, raids.

If you are all alone and it still happens, I would get monitor your network outside of the EQ games latency bar, if your are wifi theres a good chance plugging into a ethernet port would be better, sometimes wifi can make you hang(whichis why most people don't use it for FPS's) The way you describe the NPC's just pathing off is like your going linkdead, basically your 'ghosting' aka lagging and same with the players, they won't appear in the correct position until your connection catches up again.

are you on wifi or plugged in? what ISP are you on? windows or other OS? Have you tried another source of internet connection?

Is anyone else in your house using the internet? YouTube vid streaming one vid after another? Shared connections can throw some pretty annoying stuff at P99 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
