Default Weird Graphics/Speed problem can't find it on forums so posting here.

My mom-in-laws EQ has all her settings turned up and i have it in proper resolutions for full and windowed mode. Sometimes right after login or randomly after she zones her character will no long have a walking animation (legs taking steps) and it seems the game moves at twice the speed or more then it should. I've searched lightly through the tech and bug forums to see if her problem is there or maybe a patch file to fix it with no luck. Not sure if its a performance problem though im relatively confident that it isnt but any info will help me get here p99 running properly and will be greatly appreciated. I will continue to mess with video settings on her while waiting for a reply.

Change your FPS to 30.

Casey, I found some things on multi core cpu issues with eq. some were easy to fix just with power setting changes. some of the other things i read might be out my league of computer knowledge so will take more reading.

Thulack, going to give the fps setting a go now because it does appear on her screen like it is running at wayy too high of an fps. ill post an update after i give that a try.

Update : switching fps limit to 30 has slowed it down a lot to make it manageable to play but it is still kind of "glitchy" i guess. have to do some research into Casey's comment unless anyone has another simple thing to try.

It appears we were all running our clients from the wrong exe. we were using launcher titanium and it worked fine for all of our comps so far except for hers so read a little bit and found that we are supposed to run from eqgame.exe with "patchme" added to the target line. apparently that alone was enough to fix her issue and i was able to put her fps limit back up to max. must have been something to do with her having an older pc that still has windows vista on it lol but seems fixed now. thanks guys
