Graphics issue question.

I installed an SSD drive and now when I am in a mass of people (read 50+) my graphics kind of sputter.

Never happened before. Could be completely unrelated to SSD drive. Turning off lighting effects, level of detail, shadows, etc does not help.

Running WinEQ. Running the graphics enhancement texture pack available on these forums. I believe I have the ENB installed as well but I ran EQLite so I'm not sure if it effected that. Still don't recall having these issues before.

Would appreciate any advice.

I used to have issues in EC tunnel when I was using a low-end pc and the texture enhancement pack.

Doesn't make much sense? A Hard drive is a Hard drive. Can't be that it is faster, and they are by a ton. My Druid ALWAYS ports in faster than the person, persons I port.

got the latest drivers for your graphics card etc? I roll my eyes when people say that usually but it's worth a shot?

Or if you just reinstalled everything and didn't add the ssd as a second drive, you may need an earlier driver release depending on how new your card is (regardless of its performance capability.

Some times it doesn't matter how high end your system is . I run off twin ssds for a main drive and eq is on a ram drive . If I go to sky and don't hide corpse all i lag until i get off isle 1 .

I still run into this from time to time with an Asus G73HJ (core i7, 12 GB of RAM, a Radeon 5780, 128 GB SSD.) You'd think it would be able to run a 16 year old game without stuttering of any kind, but you'd be wrong.
