This is why you need a healer and some dps to assist you when you solo a mob, but in return you must share the xp gained with them. Also known as a "group".

Hmmm, you are EPICED and can not solo a mob at lv25?!? Time to change tactics, there is a bit on how to solo a paladin here on the forum if you have a looksie. In Velious we will hit just as often as a warrior, hopefully just a few weeks away now! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Paladin's can't get epic below 46.

Also, yes Paladins should hit a lot more in Velious assuming the proper and accurate changes are made. They should also hit a lot harder with 2handers assuming the 2h change goes in. The line of spells and available gear they get in Velious is also a big boost.

Paladins have a bit of a rough time on P99. A lot of people don't appreciate their ability to do multiple things pretty well because they aren't the best at any one single aspect of the game (except arguably for group tanking). On live Paladins were a class that really stacked AC and benefited from agility, both of which are much less effective here.

Sorry, missed the footnote about the epic there! Someone in an earlier thread suggested a good solo tactic would be to root the mob, then joust them with your two hander and quickly step back to avoid being hit back. My pally is only lv 13 so far so have not been able to see if this works for myself, but I guess you would ideally use a Baton of Faith?

Yes, this tactic works for a portion of leveling when you have a nice 2hander and do more damage in a round than the mobs who blue to you.

This is definitely true. However, in my opinion mobs in this "Kunark" era aren't necessarily tuned right. Paladin dps should never be high but it is lower than it should be because misses are too frequent, once again imho.

I will reiterate though, the real problem isn't dps, it's that Paladins (tanks as a whole in certain ways) take too much damage. Evasive mitigation is doing way more than it should. Once again this is based on my recollection. I know that a lot of work has been put into the AC code, it's appreciated, but I still think it needs tweaking.
