First time playing Classic EQ, need help choosing class
Not sure if I put this in the right topic/thread, so yeah.
As the title says, this is my first ever experience playing Classic EQ (or as close as I can get). I actually came from playing EQ2 (still playing it). If it helps at all, I like to play tanks or support/healer. I'm one of the people that can't stand playing caster's or sneaky thief/rogue type characters. I personally like to wear plate (because plate armor looks awesome) or chainmail, and use bladed weapons (1handed or 2 handed, think they're called slashing in this game). I'm also not a raider, but I do like to learn and know my class. And side note, I don't play ogre's. Trolls are pretty cool. Same with Iksar's. I do mostly play elve's but sometimes they look stupid in some games (High Elf male for example... that cloth on the arm that connects to the chest to me, looks stupid. Especially since it apparently applies to the armor's as well.) I hope that's sufficient information. | ||

Sounds like a shaman would be right up your alley given that you like tanks and healers. With a shaman you can take your pick or do both if soloing. They are very self-sufficient.

Paladin would be another good choice. They are tanks who can heal. Was my first main.

paladin is the best choice. its a tough route, but ultimately you will learn the game best in this role. be open to suggestions in game on how to play your class, but realize that some people r idiots
