Default issues with ui

The first time I installed everquest:secrets of fadwer from disks and made the necessary file changes, everything worked flawlessly, except the high pass zone and spell icons that didn't match the spell.
Then I met someone who told me how to get the Titanium expansion from torrents. I uninstalled everquest and tried the torrent download, but for whatever reason, I could not get it to work. So I once again installed SoF from disks but now I am having problems I didn't have the first time.
When I add the files from "eqchangesv3" it asks if I want to replace files, same as the first time. I applied "yes to all". Now when I add files from "uichangesv2" into uifiles/default folder, it asks me if I want to replace files. It didn't do that the first time. The "uichangesv2" just went in the first time. If I apply "yes to all" it gives me ui errors and won't run everquest at all. If I choose not to apply the "uichangesv2" , I get other odd issues, mainly ending up in the arena when I die.

I'm not a technical guy, but the only thing I can think of is when I uninstalled everquest, it gave me a message that the program wanted to change something in startup registry with the options to allow or block. I allowed it, as I trust everquest. Just mentioning this in case it has something to do with it. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
