Default Raid Scene (the 5%)

I have been playing EQ on P99 for about 5 months now. When I first joined everyone said the best time I will have is leveling up and experiencing content outside of raids because raiding on P99 is a shit-show. I remember EQ classic and I figured they meant training/KSn. Then I got 60 and realized its no where near that... its 10x worse. And reading the posts about ideas of fixing it, seems like Sirken/Deru foster the environment in a manner that is fitting to the 5%, and not the 95% (of raiders). They encourage this style of 'who has the most neckbeards, and of them who actually has the longest hair?'. After all, it doesn't matter what the variance is. The variance is just the guide to the above ^, how long does xxx neckbeard need to stand at yyy spawn point. I would stop there and just say damn, guess this server is just for the 5%... but then I read a post from Rogean and have hope.

'We are all here for competition, but it needs to be fair competition'.
'Not providing the server to give people the arena to compete to such bitter extremes'

Right now you either join IB/TMO and let a few individuals dedicate their life to getting targets for 99% of their guild. Or you join Class-R and see a raid target once every 2-3 months. Is there really no solution to make the game more enjoyable for the majority of the population? Playing EQ is great, but not like this.
