disconnected

I keep receiving the "you have been disconnected" message upon loading in my character, i know this is somewhat common so i tried teh normal fixes. I rebooted and reset modem/router, i know no one else is logged in on my wireless network, it's not a hardware nor install issue since i've played from this cpu before and the issue only began post-patch. Could i have been banned or something?
