If you made an soe account I'd guess you didn't follow the getting started guide and possibly patched your client to soe. I'd start from the beginning again with a new install and follow the guide again

Start with a brand new, clean install. If you have UAC turned on,
do not install to c:\program files\ or c:\program files (x86)\. If you don't know what UAC is, that means it's turned on, and you should avoid the program files folder. Try C:\everquest instead.
You no longer need an EQEmulator account to play on Project 1999. If you follow the steps in the new getting started guide I linked above, you can simply register a new account here on project1999.com and nothing else is needed.
Accounts created for the Sony live servers
will not work on Project 1999. We are not affiliated with Sony and have nothing to do with their servers.
