Rice Pudding
The tragedy about rice pudding is that it's so underrepresented. Rice pudding's delicious and I've never met someone who explicitly didn't like it, yet you rarely see it featured as a dessert in your school, college, or restaurant of choice. You see endless amounts of ice cream, cake, and pie, but rice pudding is relegated with the lesser desserts such as bread pudding and cobbler. Now don't get me wrong, good crunchy cobbler can be delicious, but my experience in my undergraduate university's dining hall (UUDH for future reference) was that there was way too much filling (and it was thoroughly mediocre at that) and the crust was lacking as well as soft and uninteresting. And bread pudding? If there's one thing I'm not interested in, it's soggy bread, unless I just recently dipped fresh bread in something delicious like some soup remnants. Meanwhile, the rice pudding at my UUDH was delectable. Rice pudding is hard to ruin, it tastes great, it has an interesting texture, but we barely see any of it! In conclusion, restaurants, schools, and UUDHs, what gives?
