Default Wizard solo - early 20s

Hi guys,
I've contemplated making the move to solo in LoIO at the windmill but I'm a little worried about soloing there with no zone line to hi-tail it to and resists of spells are always a little worry. Is this the best place for me to solo when I cant group or should I head somewhere else?

note: Its not an issue when my regular group as they are all based in LoIO at the moment, but they are ranged from 24-30 and I'm trying to catch up [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Sure, LOIO is fine. I think the monsters near the Frontier Mountains zone line might be in your level range, or they might be a little too high. Not really a big deal, though. If you're really worried about getting killed, bind just outside the zone and be ready to root and gate if you're getting low on mana or something. Or beg a sow off of someone in the zone. Or just strafe-run to the nearest zone line; you'll outrun the monster even if it's far away.

could go to EK and kill spiders and puppies. stay bound in loio so you can gate to your friends if you need to.

or you could do mammoths in everfrost from 24 (could do at 22 but will get resists and might not be worthwhile). if you have jboots you could even do a full speed quad there. easier at 29 when you get ae snare though

Mmm EK, I hadn't considered that as an option. Might look into it. I'm only 21 at the moment so without SoW or Jboots its a little unnerving at times. DW Crocs in Oasis have some crazy MR but EK might solve some issues. Thanks for the help.
Might move to FM when I have 24 and some new spells. Thanks!

On my wizard, I did the gorge hounds and griffawns till about 23 in EK, on the hill close to the Xorbb zone line. It's not exactly a quick run down that passage to zone but it worked.

You can hang in The Overthere in low 20s if you having trouble with the high dark blues resisting or whatever. Just stay near WW zone or near Cliff if he doesn't wanna pound u into the ground. Some will be green (light blue/dark green) but with the medding time it gives plenty of repop time.

What I found at that level is bind in EC tunnel. Ask for clarity and sow, gate to NK and either run to EK or SK, full speed quad random crap with your lvl 16 pillar then gate back and repeat.

quadding requires a resonable mana pool though. A new player might not have the mana pool required to finish a quad

I quadded sk cents/aviaks with sow, it was not easy and i really only did it during the last few levels when i was desperate for experience.

otherwise i just root bombed them and it worked great, SK is my go to zone for low-high 20's

Trouble is grouping with guildies (though they'll out level me soon), I like the Karanas stuff (even if a griffon killed me outa nowhere today). I guess I'll keep hitting NK from the guards, like old times in Qeynos.
