Crag spiders in EK

Are the crag spiders in EK considered a camp? I ask because I was just fighting them and had some anon caster, but red to me, show up pull every last one and then say "it's not a camp too bad."

They all spawn in a tight area and it sure seems like it's as much of a camp as orc highway or crocs in oasis. Just wondering if I can expect it to be stolen regularly or if this guy was just a dick?
