Default Enchanter Help

Hey guys, pretty new to the server and after making a shaman for a few days I've decided to re-roll enchanter. I was wondering if anyone could give me an recommendations on how to allocate my starting points as an erudite. I was thinking 20 in CHA and 10ish in INT. I'm very bad at major decisions...

Go all int or all stamina in my opinion. I went all stamina but some will argue against that.
Charisma is very easy to get over 200 (well if you are rolling a high-elf that is) and the uses for charisma are limited to high level charming.

Hitpoints and mana on the other hand you need all the time. Also, the sooner you max out your int the sooner you start concentrating on HP and mana gear.

Crap, that Stamina theory is exactly what I was hoping wouldn't come up....but I am taking into consideration. I mean there must be some truth to it if more than one advocates it.

Stamina isn't as good for cloth wearers as for other characters. Its waste for the most part. If you want hps you need tog et +hp items. An erudite can get +cha gear yes... but those +cha gear items usually don't have that good of stats besides the +cha. I think what you said with the +20 cha +10 int sounds good. Erudites start with a good amount of int so 10 will work.

You should be able to max out your int/cha quicker this way and then just go straight for the +mana/hp items.

Just keep in mind the hitpoints gained are barely noticeable for a long time and if you don't plan on getting raid geared, etc then maybe stamina is not the way to go.

On the flip side consider that eventually (we're talking Kunark/Velious) you will be maxed out on charisma and intelligence and that really only leaves stamina as an important stat for enchanters.

You definitely will have to make that final decision based on where you plan on taking this character.

What about 25 in CHA and 5 into INT, leaving me at CHA: 105 and INT: 122

ENCs get whacked all the time... When your Charm or Mez breaks. GO STA. HPs keep you alive. I've always put all my points in it.

Roll a Darkelf and put it in CHA/Stam. Instant hide to break charms is very nice.

Go CHA so your charm and mez doesn't break as often.
