![]() As more and more things become fixed (I have especially noticed for bards since that is what I play), it would be important that a fundamental game mechanic in regards to spells be also returned to how it is supposed to work.
Line of Sight Spells in everquest (except bolt lines for casters) check for Line of Sight on initial cast, if it makes that check successfully, the spell will begin to cast, and then upon completion of the casting of the spell, it checks for range, if that check is made successfully, the spell will land (or get resisted, as the case may be). In p99 however, it does not work as it should. Spells check for LoS again once they are done casting, and if the target has moved out of sight, which sometimes can be as little as 2 feet up or down a hill, the spell gets interrupted. It is frustrating for casters, and it is very frustrating for bards. Bards are able to cast on the move, it is one of their defining class abilities. Right now on p99 this ability is crippled because bards cannot start a detrimental song on a target and then move away around the corner while waiting for it to land. The bard has to stand there in front of the room and wait for the song to land, and then if the song landed on a caster, the caster will start to nuke the bard and not leap to him, and by the time the caster's spell is interrupted (since by then the bard has moved), there is a strong possibility that lull has faded on any number of other mobs in the room the bard was trying to break.
