Default New player, first time in 14 years

I made my first character in a long time last night, got him to level 3 (nearly 4!) Before other stuff tore me away, however tonight I'll be looking to have a proper old school session like I used to. I was given equipment almost as soon as I logged in, a pretty good testament to the state of the player base in my opinion, and even though one of these benefactors told me that rolling a paladin would be like slowly driving an ice pick into my face, I am determined to enjoy the journey, not wish for the destination to be closer. Anyhow, I'll be on tonight and with any good fortune be heading to crushbone before long.

Welcome! Playing a paladin is a long and arduous process but is worth it in the long run. Before you know it the orcs will flee from your presence and fear your Short Sword*.

I must say I'm enjoying it so far, and when the going does get tough, I'm sure sir fodrin will look to Marr for guidance. The orcs did indeed learn to fear the might of the short sword* however a kind soul donated a blackjack and now my wrath has extended to bears and the odd puma!
Thank you very much for your words of encouragement, I'll be rebuking the foul undead in no time I'm sure, I hear southern faydwer has a problem in that area...

Hi Fordin! I believe we met the other day in Freeport on my baby druid, Xadriana. Welcome back to the game! For the record, I think Paladin's are great, I duo with one most of the time.

Hope you enjoy your stay here, it's really as amazing as it sounds.

How'd you find out about the server btw?

Well after a good session in crushbone and running back and forth between there and Kaladim I've reached level 9, and the real paladinning starts. I've had a great time today and while it won't be taking over my life again it will definitely hold its own place in my heart.
Looks like the ice pick in the face will continue!
