Anyone ever get this crash error ?!?

"The instruction at 0x1000fdce referenced memory at 0xfffffffc the memory could not be read"

Just found out about project 1999 this morning randomly surfing the web. Downloaded EQ titanium install went smooth made changes to files like needed . I logged in ( smooth also ) created a char. And made it as far as the exit of Neriak then game crashed with that error and now upon re-launch of EQ launcher closes with that error. Any help would be app. I played shortly after the game first launched and played it for years. Im super excited about this and give mad kudos to the peeps running this show !

****I tried a few different things I used repair option from install shield ( same error ) Then I uninstalled and reinstalled ( Same Error )

What OS are you running?
have you tried running in compatibility mode yet?
Have you tried running as Administrator?

Im running Vista. Same result when i run it as admin =( Same with compatibility modes.

I used to have this problem. For me the client.ini video modes would somehow get fubared. Try double checking that your video modes match your desktop resolution.

I tried setting video options to match desktop ( no result) then I turned graphics to lowest settings on all option still the same . I used the options editor in EQ folder to enact the changes.

Did you rename/move/delete the 5 files mentioned in the setup thread? A couple of them are related to Nektulos Forest which it sounds like you were zoning to when this started.

Ok i earlier had miss read about replacing the 5 files fwaits mentioned. Some reason i was thinking all of those where optional to get a more classic look and feel. man i was wrong I replaced the files and stopped getting the error but now i think i tinkered to much with my game installation. Im reinstalling EQ now and will do EVERYTHING this time and im sure it will work .. thanks to everyone you guys are MOST helpful and I look forward to diving back into this classic game. Ill post my chars when i get it up and running looking foward to playing with some old schoolers !

Ok well im back to the error again. Have triple checked replaced all files that need it. Created the shortcut correctly changed eqhost.txt . Ran as admin with compatablity mode on. Still this error, the wierd thing is that orginally when i installed and modified i was able to log on a create a char and enter the world. and only when i zoned into a zone that belonged in the catagory of files i had not yet updated did it crash with this error . Was able to get the error to go away after replacing said files but then the client would just quit after i launched game . But at least i wasnt getting the error message. Did total uninstall and reinstall to make sure all files where as they should be and now back to error.

Did you download and extract the eqchanges3 and uichanges2 files as described in the setup thread as well after the reinstall? And of course remove the 5 files mentioned earlier?
