Default Crusader Quarg sees through iksar illusion

Crusader Quarg is scowling to me regardless of whether I have iksar illusion or not. I realize that Crusaders (sk) are on different faction but I've gone to the 4 surrounding zones and both cabilis zones and Quarg is literally the only one who is KOS to me with iksar illusion. I'm ok in both the necro guild and the sk/shaman guild even.

Lest you think this is just "oh, he's on Scaled Mystics" that the answer. As i said above I have no problem with the shaman guild, specifically Prime Hierophant Vek.

This is the only iksar mob I've seen that doesn't go higher than scowling when I have iksar illusion.

On live, Quarg was indeed on Scaled Mystics faction and different than Bodli. But I was never KOS when I had iksar illusion.

I could have sworn Iskar illusion didn't give faction adjustments, I thought thats what really made that quest pointless because it was the only illusion that didn't give a faction adjustment to the race in which you appear

oh, it most definitely does. I'm kindly to Troopers (legion of cabilis) faction as a human (I'm agnostic) and warmly as iksar. To crusaders (except quarg as mentioned above) I'm scowling without and apprehensive with. I used to be indiff but I killed Vessel Drozlin for my epic and another guard.

And before anyone says anything, I was scowling to Quarg before I killed Vessel Drozlin too, with and without illusion.

Just tried it, exact same results as though I were using iksar illusion (with the troopers and crusaders and crusader quarg.) Still scowling with and without on quarg, exact same con as the iksar with those mobs.

Quarg smarter than your average iksar, must have an int buff on.

Quarg does seem to be a strange scaly. As far back as the year 2000, an Alla post says he is kill-on-sight to enchanters in Iksar illusion using Benevolence, though without mention of deity.

Somewhat related though distantly, I found that on EQ Mac (closest classic testing ground we've had recently), some mobs can see through Minor Illusion while many do not. Bandits of all races, for instance, were not affected by Minor Illusion's faction adjustment and would remain KoS. There are perhaps many illusion-ignoring mobs that I hope we never discover!
