Client Crashes

in the past 4.5 years i have seen that maybe 4 times. Today alone I have had it happen about 2 dozen give or take. No idea why the increase now

I have the exact same problem on my laptop--can get to character select screen, but then instantly crashes when I try to login.

On my desktop there isn't any problem. Both systems are running Windows 7.

What are the differences between the two systems? I'd start there

For example if the one that crashes has more processors ... try setting affinity to 1 and see if that helps

So I redid the patch 5 times and on the 5th time it worked.

Well I thought it was fixed. Seems it has come back. Not sure exactly what's going on.

Edit: Same thing happened, I tried it without patching multiple times and eventually it let me in... I don't know, maybe its a firewall issue?

getting regular crashes since last patch.

was pretty stable before this.

eq is not happy! too much fiddling about under the bonnet!

I have the same issue. Never crashed, not even once before the last patch.

It's pretty frustrating.
