Default Duo with Druid?

Which of the casters do you think would duo best with a Druid? Wife and I are getting back into the game, and that's all she plays..so...

Could play things other than casters too if there is something more optimal.

Thanks!

necro

stacks up dots, skin + regen helps his mana regen, can fear kite, can keep a charmed pet alive longer

Enchanter is probably the "best" duo partner for a druid.

Enchanter is a beast all around basically, charming for an awesome tank+amazing damage while providing druid with mana regen and being able to CC inside where a druid can't use harmony for easy single pulls... plus slow and mem blurs makes it easy to keep pets around long term if you like to do that instead of kill pets. Druid makes up for the enchanters biggest weakness (no heals), brings a HP buff and snares to help make charm breaks less dangerous, can charm a pet of its own when animals are around, and has a variety of other frequently useful stuff like sow, ports, tracking, and more.

Necro, shaman, mage are all options too. Necro can use dots and fancy pull tactics and a summoned pet instead of just relying on charm like the chanter, but lacks the CC, mana regen (for the druid, anyway), tash, and slow of a chanter. Shaman and mage are weaker options for duo overall (shaman+druid basically only killing with root+rot unless you only play in zones with animals for druid to charm; mage+druid is awfully light on CC potential unless you stay outdoors all the time where you can single pull with harmony).

You really can make anything work though, if you put your mind to it and are motivated to get er done... the options above (especially druid+enchanter) just have more versatility and overall potential than something like druid+rogue (cool but pretty much limited to kiting strategies) or druid+bard (pretty squishy for bard to take hits and druid heal, pretty low DPS, etc) or druid+cleric (no mana regen, low damage), etc.

To be fair, any caster + Enchanter is going to rip stuff apart imo.

Anyone that has a pet + druid is pretty good. Wiz+druid, not so much.

Enchanter is easily the best option. Most versatile and best chance to survive a dungeon.

Totally disagree although it is slightly situational.

If you're planning on duoing inside dungeons and such then Enchanter would be a much better bet than Wizzy, but if you want to duo outdoors there isn't a better choice than Wizzy! given that he can quad snare and gets quad nukes. Also the fact that you will have access to every Spire/Ring in Norrath!
