Default question about lvling in FoB

Where do you level in field of bone from 6-9? I grinded out to 6 on those spiderlings in the cave but after that, seems all the mobs in the pit and on the kurns side are all yellow and red cons. I'm a level 6 ikky necro and i'm having a hard time finding mobs solo. I tried getting into a ramp group but it was full. Are there no other options at this lvl range? It's already super slow meleing everything with pets help.

6-12 is a really awkward phase for necros, as it is super inefficient to do anything but lifetap melee tank mobs. Pair that with the fact that the pit in FOB has a huge level range and it made me hate 6-12 on my Iksar Necro.

Your best bet is fighting on the edges of the pit, both inside and out. Try and pull the spiders, scorpions, etc. Lifetap is very hard to resist so you can realistically kill white/yellow mobs.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to group with another Necro, as you guys could just let your pets go to town and not have to worry about losing 50% exp.

Just grind through it and at 12 your life will get 10x better. You'll get 3 dots, including a lifetap dot and a snare dot in addition to an undead only fear. Immediately start fear kiting undead in Kurns (they don't aggro anymore on feared mobs - just pull your pet back if you need to). You could probably start grouping in Kurns at 10.

Also, since I assume you have several hundred spiderling silk, it would be worth your time to try and get to East Commons and sell it - just keep an eye out for a druid porting and hitch a ride (making sure to invis - then gate back after you're done). Use the money to get a few starter items, focusing on HP if you can, but making sure to save $$ for spells. Golden Jaded Bracelets are 15mana/hp each and go for like 35pp. Also, grab the 4ac/45hp rings for now - they are a fraction of the price of the 5ac/55hp rings and that extra several hundred pp is better spent elsewhere at the moment.

Check out LOIO, just outside FoB. There are goblin watchers/scouts, sabertooth cubs, and scalebone skeletons that path though there. All should be DB to yellow. Also a ruins type camp with 3 goblin spawns, but could have 3 hunters spawn which are level 8 or 9. I did this on my monk and shaman, instead of trying to grind what mobs I could find in the pit. It worked out better than accidentally pulling marauders, bandits, etc.
