Characters not showing up

I logged in today, and my characters are not showing up. I tried repatching from the last patch. How do I fix this?

re-try to login, and update patches.

Sometimes people accidentally log into the wrong server, because the last server they joined gets reset at server select.

This isn't it, i'm logging into the correct server.

Often, in the time it takes to move from server select to character select, my connection to the server will start timing out, causing blank character select screens or it asks to update my spell files (which don't need updating).

Just keep trying.

It turns out I was logging in with the wrong account. I needed to log in with my EQEmu account that had my characters, not this one...
