Mage Fire Pet question
In Classic, the DS of the fire pet did damage about equal to its level; that is a level 4 fire pet had a 4 damage DS.
I've read somewhere (which escapes me) that this spell is no longer being cast by the fire pet - is this the case or is it the same as I remember (or something altogether different?) I couldn't find much information on this on the site, so apologies if I've missed something basic.

Scroll to the fire pet section of this.
http://wiki.project1999.com/Magician#Spells Based on that, up to the 44 fire pet, the pet's level is damage shield minus one. Damage shield does 10 damage, it's a level 9 pet, etc.

Note, that wiki chart is incomplete at best. The level 44 and 49 pets have multiple levels, not a set one like it has. You keep recasting until you get a dark blue pet.

I think the patch note you read was removing an unclassic DS on 50+ fire pets. The 50+ fire pets suck major balls (which is classic).

Thanks; the DS info on that is way down on the page and I didn't see it.
