![]() I've been playing P99 for a few months now and since the beginning I've been dealing with crashes to desktop. The error occours sometimes 5 times in an hour, other times i can play for 4 or 5 hours with no crash. The message i recieve says:
"The instruction at 02309430x02343 (Not exact numbers..dont think it matters) could not be written, the program will now close" or something along those lines. I've ran memory diagnositics, harddrive checks, uninstalled and reinstalled to a different phsycial and logical harddrive. I've swapped my Ram sticks.. I'm out of ideas. I'm running a Geforce 560 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Recently I've made it worse.. I uninstalled and reinstalled to a different harddrive, and now I'm still getting the inconsistant crashes, but now it wont save my UI... Every time i close and reopen the game it "forgets" my keybindings/chat windows/hot key setup. Please help!! 1kpp to anyone that tells me how to fix these issues...seriously! | ||

![]() Quote:
maybe i can offer an alternative? are you currently using multi-threading to run the game? if so, it would make sense that it is crashing. if you are not sure, then try right clicking the launcher and checking "compatibility mode" into the windows 95 setting. i hope you dont leave, this seems to be a common thing that most people overlook (i noticed you didnt mention anything about it in your diagnostic procedure). good luck. PM me if you need more ideas

![]() with that error message i would guess that it has something to do with your ram. usually this type of stuff can be solved by reinstalling a corrupted OS. if this is not a possibility, maybe you have another PC you can put it on?

![]() also it seems like you might be having issues with administrator privileges, considering that you cant save your UI. what is the path to your EQ install, and are you running the game as admin?
if you have uninstalled software from your PC recently, or if you have alot of background processes running, any of this could be causing your issue. again, i would recommend a fresh OS install, but that might be a drastic solution to a simple problem. anything you have installed that is not part of windows could potentially be causing the problem.

![]() hey real fast before you wipe your machine, make sure your launcher icon also has "run as administrator" selected
