game freezes when i hit play everquest

pretty much what the topic says i hit play everquest and it freezes, tried wineq2 and resolution fixes nothings worked i have to ctr alt delete to close it out

What OS are you using?

Make sure that your resolution in game and on your desktop match. For me personally, I had to right click on the eqgame.exe and set the resolution under one of the tabs in the properties section.

You said you messed with the resolutions, I am assuming you've tried every combination in-game and on your desktop combined?
