Connection Disconnected/Ip Banned

Me and my wife both sign up for Project 1999 and here to play EQ. Last night she was able to play and I kept getting after character select screen "Your Connection has been Disconnected". And today I am able to play but when she tries to join Project 1999 server she gets "your IP has been Banned".

Why is this happening? because we are on the same wireless connection?
