Maybe the answer is as apparent as "Puppet Strings are rare".
But Puppet strings have 10 charges. At a recharge cost of 840 platinum. So assuming only needing a single charge, it is costing the person selling OT Hammers 84 platinum. Yet they charge 4.5k? Those of you who sell it, I am curious how/why you justify asking 4.5k, a profit of about 53X the base cost for you. Even with 2 charges per person you are still getting a profit of 25x the base cost. I'm guessing one of the following things: 1. It may be tough to find a recharge, IE it isn't always on hand, since they are lore and you can't box 2. Someone who has Puppet Strings clearly is wealthy, and due to that they value their time higher than some noob with only 2k. So your 'time' to Hammer there and loan it out is worth 4.5k? 3. Rich need to get richer, because science? Just curious. Cause getting 45k off 10 OT Hammers (a full puppet string) seems pretty ridiculous to me considering the time invested by the player.

An iPhone costs pennies to produce but lots of people have no problem paying $600 for one.
There may not be a high cost to do the hammer, but you have to consider the following: * Puppet Strings cost 250k. Recharging can be a pain in the ass, and a lot of people who sell the hammers have two sets, that's 500k. * Doing the hammer is time consuming. * On every hammer you're taking a risk when you hand over your 250k item to a random player. * It's a service that many people need but very few people can perform. Real life works this way too.

The 4-5k plat certainly isn't commensurate with the effort involved. I'd say it is because puppet strings are so god damned valuable.
It's like somebody bought a $100,000 machine that pumps out cans of soda that make your penis bigger, and it's the only kind of machine that does that. It's not that hard to make the machine create one, but are you going to sell them for $1? Hell no, you'd have to sell 100,000 sodas to even equal the value of your machine and nobody has time for that. | ||
