Default Phone Hotspot blocked?

I have been playing on P99 for a number of years with no connectivity issues. I have recently had to use a Phone Hotspot to connect to the internet. Since I have started doing this I am not unable to connect to P99. Once i get to the server select screen it hangs for about 1 min and then kicks me to the login page.

Any one had this issue and able to resolve it? I know going to a landline of some sort will fix it im sure, but this is not an option for me currently.

Sounds like your connection isnt good enough for the packets to be sent back and forth from server quick enough. Either that or the phone company has some ports blocked for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, a 3G or 4G Phone connection may or may not work. I've not had the problem personally, and I have connected successfully via a Netzero hotspot, but the Netzero hotspot is not available in all areas of the country, and is definitely not available far away from civilization.

You might look at your tracert, as was suggested above. I do know, from anecdotal evidence, that after the switch to the new servers, some people who could connect at 4G through their phone were not able to, but were able to successfully connect using 3G.
