Miscellaneous: Advisor Robe Drop Rate

Was 100% on live.

Scouring the allakhazam comments for both the advisor and the robe yields no evidence, just lots of epeening. The closest thing to evidence is implied here in this argument:

Lmao, not much work if your not a noob. Me (Level 57 Druid) and my friend (Level 53 Necro), came here and there was only 5 people in Mistmoore. We were wandering around I saw advisor on tracking, we go to the room, no one is camping it. Necro sics pet and Voila! We get an Advisor in all of 10 minutes spent in Mistmoore.

Therin lies the point fool! YOu are level 57 and a wrecking ball necro 53. Of course it is easy for casters that don't have to physically fight the mobs.

Now I can go in and work my ass off by myself slowly but surely to the room and kill everything i come across on my way (Ranger 50) or go invis and go to the room and kill him (if he is up)too.

The respawn rate was also 4 hours rather than the same as the rest of the dungeon, but perhaps this was changed in Kunark for the shaman epic.

Pending update:
-Upped the advisor's chance to drop the robe.
-Upped the advisor's spawn time to 4 hours.

TBH, I don't remember this guy being prekunark, but I cannot find evidence.

He also didn't spawn all the time, though. The advisor PH was an initiate familiar.

Nah he had no PH. He was every 4 hours like clockwork. Initiate familiars are the mobs by the zoneline, once you get inside the castle, the lowest mob you'll find is a Ghoulish Ancille.

I discovered him when I did my epic, and I spent a lot of time here farming and helping other shaman get black dire for the black fur boots. (Black Dire spawns when advisor is killed)

And believe it or not, it looks like he actually didn't exist in classic, which might explain why I didn't discover him until mid-kunark.

I can verify this. Advisor was clockwork every 4.

On a side note, hopefully we can kill black dire here the same way we did on Live as it was legal there. But may be looked at as exploiting pathing here.

Yeah, pretty sure an initiate familiar was his PH. The advisor always had the robe, but sometimes a familiar was there instead of him. Anyone back me up on this?
