Default Wizards Spell: Evacuate Ro

If you cast the spell while in the zone of South Ro it takes you to the oasis zone line. Not the wizard spires.

I could be wrong but I remember all the spire specific evacs took you to the spire not the zone in.

Should take you to spires

Evacs (including Succor/Evacuate in zone) also left players behind on a much more regular basis than regular ports (which I believe also could leave people behind).

I haven't tested this with other zone specific evacs as I rarely cast them in the zone itself. I'll check out the others later today.

Confirmed this is happening.

Started in EJ. Casted Evac Ro, ended up on spires correctly. Cast Evac Ro again, ended up near Oasis zone line. Cast Evac Ro again, reloaded in the same spot near Oasis.

Will look into 'left behind'.

As far as I remember, ports should always work, and evacs had a chance of leaving people. Could not be ported while dueling, iirc.

^ That needs researched I guess.

As far as evacs with a set destination instead of safe coords.. cast within the same zone, I think you're correct. These are set properly in the spells file, but will likely need more work to function in that way.

On the topic of leaving people.. did anyone ever see more than one person get left behind? I didn't, but that doesn't mean its not possible. If only one person can be left (including the caster), I'd imagine something like a 6% chance for the entire group; not individually. So.. say it would start port, see if a 6% chance hit, then random someone to leave. Alternately, if more than one person could be left, it would be 1% rolled against each member of the party.

Input welcome.

Also, a random question. Where did the Tolan's Darkwood Breastplate port rangers to, classically?

One such specific event our puller in seb (live, named Senken) pulled a train into disco by accident. I made the call and evac'd. I got out, SK got out, cleric get out, rest died (his guildies).

SK flipped out saying we had it (we didn't) and attacked me lol.

Everyone had a chance to be left behind, including the porter.

I evac'd someone another time and they ported but I didn't. I laughed to them in tells saying "heh well that worked out nice for me".

These were Kunark era accounts.

Only thing I'm shakey on is if the regular ports could leave people behind, too. And I'm pretty sure they did but much, much more rarely.

A wizard friend of mine evac'd his group and was left behind. I did Exodus the other day and left someone behind. Lets not get carried away and call it a fricken feature. It's a BUG and it has to be fixed.
^ dude above doesn't realize its not a bug though heh

Other conditions that should cause people to get left behind:
