Europa's Recent Conduct

I wanted to share what happened recently concerning Europa and Taken. You can read more about the issue HERE

Essentially, the various guilds on the server had all agreed upon a rotation for raiding in Sky. This is a pretty difficult thing to achieve as we all know that getting anyone to agree to anything can be a daunting task. The only other such agreement which I've seen was around the early Ragefire rotations. It avoided a lot of drama and benefited the server immensely.
Europa had at some point decided that they wanted to raid at a different time so they made a post to the thread linked above, requesting that others contact one of their leaders to make arrangements to share with them. They had a couple of responses but apparently they were not interested in the offered dates so they selected Taken's night and started raiding before Taken, thus preventing Taken from raiding. No effort was made to directly contact anyone in Taken's leadership to discuss this. Boilon made it clear that he has personal issues against reaching out and demanded that he be contacted. To be honest, the first thing I heard of this was a couple of hours before Taken's normal start time (at which point Europa was already on Island 5). Sorry, I don't read the Sky rotation thread much and to be honest, had I seen that post I would have assumed that they would have reached out to the guild which is currently scheduled to raid on the night of interest to them to work out something. It's what I would have done and what I think every other guild would have done.
Subsequent conversations with Europa's leadership has made it clear that they do not care about the agreed upon rotations and that they are within their right to do anything they please. While this is true, anyone on the server can do what they please as long as it's within server rules, most don't do it because to do so makes you look like an asshole. It's called being a good citizen / member of the server community.

So a guild's planned Sky raid night (Taken's) was stolen and 40+ people wound up spending time refreshing key corpses and making alternate plans because the leaders of another guild (Europa) were too what.. proud? ignorant? arrogant? Slimy? to take a few minutes to contact us to work things out. It's a dick move plain and simple.

Here are some excerpts from a PM sent to me by Boilon which illustrates his guild's opinion of the server's other guilds and around the efforts made by all guilds to work with each other on this point.. None of these are taken out of context..

This should be eye opening for all on the server because it only takes one to knock things into disarray and ruin efforts made by others to create an enjoyable environment. Europa's attitude is hurtful to the server and you should all judge the guild and its members accordingly.

For those not familiar with Plane of Sky, it's a zone with special requirements to progress through and to raid. I'll leave it at that.

Lastly, this is not a RnF type thread so please keep insults in check. I felt that this was worth sharing to show Europa for what they are.

It sucks the Sky rotation has become so cluttered. Speaking from the times when I was leading the FC sky raids and running into issues getting full keys (Noble cycle on your day means no island 2 clears), Fearstalker reached out to me and offered FC to clear 1-5 for keys on their thursday. This was an awesome gesture and I didn't even approach them asking for it. It's too bad Europa didn't discuss their desires to attempt 6-8 with Taken beforehand-I'm sure they would have been willing to work something out.

Honestly I see these actions as a direct result of IB stepping on FC's day and there being no consequences. There was no sky-rotation protection force to come save our day and ruin IB's (that we had for months prior) and therefore IB was able to start before we could. Even though Europa already had a sky time, Europa's actions mirrored IB's , they posted in the thread twice about their desires, then said fuck it and decided to clear.
