Hey all,
If anyone here has the skill i'd like to try to get everquest down to the smallest possible size but still fully functional with Project1999. This is for an experiment in embedding the game inside a website. Cheers! Mix

Buried in that thread somewhere Secrets was talking about a bare bones version he uses to test. Mebbe ask him about it.

I've managed to write an ActiveX plugin for EQ inside a browser and just need to write the NPAPI one for firefox/chrome
The smallest I have got the client so far is 762mb (zipped) I am sure some of these files could go (like the potime one is pretty huge) but not sure what else. Any recommendations? Maybe some of these three digit npc models? File List: http://pastebin.org/392543

Time files for sure, and this zone also.

Is it safe to say that you can remove files for zones that you personally never visit? For example if you are currently playing only low level characters on Antonica, couldn't you erase all other continents and upper level zones and be fine with just the few that you need to load?
