![]() For some reason I'm unable to install my copy of EQ:titanium. I pop in the cd and run the installer, the "sony online entertainment" logo pops up for a brief 3 seconds then disappears. I've tried running the installer in all compatibility modes (windows 7) to no avail. It never proceeds any further than the "SOE" logo. Any help would be appreciated.

![]() Lets see, disable anti-virus? Turn off the built in permission garbage (are you sure you're sure?) that has become part of the OS since Vista?
When restarting the install process, is the process actually dead? When the SOE splash disappears, does the process disappear too?

![]() Correct, I have UAC and my anti-virus fully disabled prior to starting the games setup. According to task manager the process disappears just shortly after the SOE splash screen does.

![]() Just in case anyone runs into this issue in the future:
It's an issue with installshield. You need to disable DEP in Windows 7 in order to run the installer, and then re-enable it afterward.

![]() ^^ what that guy said.
you are running it off the ISO's and not a physical disc, right? in any case, turning of data execution prevention should fix your problem, and make sure you're running as an administrator. Also, make sure that the account you're using to *log into your computer* is an admin account and not just a user.
