I'm sorry to point it out Nilbog, you're a good lad. I know it can be irritating regarding everything you do for p99.
But we've been playing here for a while, platlord was never taken down, as much as the p99 staff controls as much as they can about what goes on the server, it seems they cannot take platlord down (which could only be taken down involving legal matters).
Due to my work I have my own contact at SOE and I can tell you, they give about 0 fucks about any RMT going on private servers on their back catalog licenses (so, Everquest...). You can talk with Trion worlds or with Turbine (Warner)they all are aware of the phenomenon and just barely care. Truth is MMO studios (besides Blizzard) are always financed with tiny budgets. So involving the costy legal department with issues concerning a back catalog licenses emulator servers involving pocket money RMT is just never going to happen, they just will never care because it doesn't represent any money for them. They are busy, and surviving today in the industry is tough.
Fact is all content agregators (besides steam), be it greenman gaming, digital river (origin) or metaboli (france) work with key sellers, gold sellers and all other key traders. They are all based in HK and you can try real hard to stop them, they have staff dedicated only to answering legal issues, which are overlooked on and barely taken seriously. Those same agregators are the ones distributing officially those MMORPG games keys. It's common knowledge in the industry, everyone is cool with it, avoid the top dogs (EA/UBI/Acti/R*) and you're fine.
RMT will always be part of p99, always was, always will. RMT is part of any online games, unfortunately...Because it's accepted by the industry.
