Out of date spells file

At the character select screen it says that my spells file is outdated. pls help?

You need V27, found here. You could just use the Launcher (found in that thread I linked) which will update files for you automagically.

ya i tried using both methods and im still missing certain files...

also, the patcher says i dont have the proper permission to access the everquest directory...then aborts the patch

I am getting some very weird errors as well..but running patcher as admin should fix this for you
