Default eq on an asus 4gb ssd netbook?

Can it be done?

I have eq, of course, installed on a ss card, but I can't get my copy of winxp small enough. And Moe's Tavern Launcher keeps saying it needs .net extensions which my c: drive just cant fit the installer on.

Anyone wanna give me a tip? Sadly, this netbook is all I have, running via external monitor, keyboard, mouse.

You don't need the emulauncher. Just follow these instructions:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...13&postcount=3

Then shrink the P99 install per these instructions:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7186

P99 should then be about 1.4GB. No current windows OS (xp, 7, nor 8) is smaller then 5GB, so I don't know how you can have windows on the 4GB already, let alone install ANY programs.

i get to the char select screen now. but then it crashes. i had no need to make the eq game install smaller, i have it on a d/ drive, with plenty of room. How much is the game taking to run?

but that guide was superb, btw. as clear as a spring day [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Dunno if its similar to the issue I had on my windows 8 laptop but i have to play in windows mode or it crashes, before that I couldn't even get to the Char Select while in full screen. WinEQ helps make the windowed mode tolerable.
