Honestly I joined the server via a few posts about <Fresh> and I had unrealistic expectations about the level of support lower level people get. I had higher than average expectations and was disappointed. I decided to delete that toon and re-roll without any affiliations.

I made a class I wanted to play, not one that was 'super op in pvp' and i'm now 35 in just a few days and having a blast. I have at least one friend from every guild and tons of people on /friend that aren't tagged as well. Sure i'm a shitty undergeared tank, but everyone I group with is undergeared usually.

We get griefed, people like IooL and Tegi will camp and grief you, but they want you to get upset. I've seen people yell at them and they are satisfied by that and continue to camp. I find it hard to get mad having played on VZ etc. It's a pvp server, you get griefed...that's just how it is, you will die...probably a lot on your first toon.

If I was starting again or telling some one 'how' to start I'd simply say make what you will enjoy playing and don't tag into a guild. Being in a guild will remove a lot of opportunities for you.

Do I plan on joining a guild eventually? Sure, but I think it's easy to see what each guild is about when you can openly affiliate with them without much issue. Empire obviously runs most of the raiding, Azrael I don't really know much about other then they talk a lot in ooc, lack of self control usually means a younger in age group of people. Fresh seems to always be getting killed in yellow text, but from what I understand they are just breaking into raiding...and while skill might matter some gear matters a lot more.
hey nice analysis

Knuckle was a beast back on VZTZ. He had the preparation thing down, had shaman/clr/dru/etc always ready to buff up his melees that he pvped on.

I'll never forget Vitality on LoZ. He had like a 90-5 kill-death ratio as a necro. He was the only guy I couldn't 1v1. He was always prepared. Moved assertively, stealthily. He would zone in, /who, zone out. Come directly to the camp he figured you were at and get the kill. Escape if he needed to. Never not fully in the moment. I could 1v2 Cwall and Sniperfire, but couldn't f with Vitality.

necromancers were so fucking dumb on that server

hurts my brain still thinking about that

spectre pet that chain casted nearly unresistable 150 lifetap + stun, pets zoned with you so doubling up on conflag daggers was insane, 3 second cast trucidation that could be bugged to get rid of the recast time, etc.

Monk avoidance works well on this server. You have to take into account monks have much less HP than a plate tank class though so it balances out.
