No. Not actually. I was just going off of your own point.

I don't see your point or how you achieved it via the posts you quoted. Enlighten me.

Ok. You said that people committed such atrocities because of there religious indoctrination. The problem is that the example you gave of Jim Jones and Jonestown is a bit of a conundrum. Even though Jones teachings were presented as religious in nature, his driving force for his ideals was quite obviously Marxism, which is not a religious concept, but a secular one. Therefore its hard to draw a hard line in your example that you cited that it was caused by religion. Since the fact remains that Jones himself was a Marxist, and it was the driving force behind his teachings. Does it make more sense to you now?

Ah no wonder you are trying to take my posts completely out of context. You don't even understand the context of my posts in the first place. Cults/Religion are one in the same, people at the top exploiting the ones below them via fear/indoctrination/lies. Are we clear on this? Ok good.

It doesn't matter what an individual's belief system is when you are talking about religion as an institution.

Ok. I get what you're saying. Its just hard to say that someone has taken your posts out of context when you were being purposefully vague though. Might want to explain yourself a little more clearly before belittling someone for not understanding.

Always assume religion is bad. Isn't that like some modern tenant to live by?

"No denomination has nailed it yet because they're all to self righteous to realize it doesn't matter what you have faith in just that you have faith." ~ Serendipity (Salma Hayek), Dogma

"Wars. Bigotry. Televangelism. The big one, though, is the factioning of all the religions. He said mankind got it all wrong by taking a good idea and building a belief structure on it." ~ Rufus (Chris Rock), Dogma

Everything wrong with religions, summed up in one comedy movie.

"Dogma" changed my life.
