hey atleast ur playing a class that can gate, bind, and pvp in all level ranges with little gear dependence. so good choice there. as a result it wont be THAT bad, and you'll have plenty of options now, and later, and always stay viable.

dont get all wrapped around the axel about possible griefing or being pked, think of it as gaining an arch nemesis, motivating you to push on and get revenge later.

PvP gives a nice twist to EQ. I mean all of us has probably played quite a few toons on blue servers. Red provides a different mindset and playstyle that you cant get on blue. Yeah thrre are alot of dicks that will try to grief you but the majority of the population is pretty legit and helpful, you pretty much have to be on a low pop server.

The only major issue ive found is a lack of grouping in the early to mid levels. Its no big deal if uou can solo though. Just make friends an keep in touch its alot of fun!

On the one hand I hear things like "Lguk belongs to Chewie" and I think, that's so terrible, no way I want to deal with that shit


But there's a little voice inside of me that says, maybe one day you will kill Chewie and take Lguk over and leave his corpse to rot in the Cav room so he loses it and then you will be king of Lguk

thats it man, thats the right mindset. and like qarl said, red brings a whole new dynamic to eq from gear choices, banking, traveling, exping, going afk to take a dump, preparing yourself with essential pvp items, the spells you mem, that inital cautious interaction with an in-range stranger.

Qeynos is where its at. 1-50 not going past highkeep if you really wanted to.

Is it boring? Sure. But it's safe and you can farm some decent loots along the way.
