I'm a new player, just started about two weeks ago.

I came to the Red server to play something close to EQ Rallos Zek. I have played almost every MMO released in the last 10 years and don't need another fast level... "dude its supposed to be about the PvP" server. I went for EQ classic because of slow leveling lots of PvE, fighting over spawns, losing corpses, losing gear, losing XP,etc. all the things Rallos had.

After 2 night of messing around in Qeynos, I found a couple folks to group with we played every couple of nights and soon our group grew to four people and over the last few days things exploded and we stared a new guild with about 50 players, 50% newbs, 75% less than 10th level.

It may take a few weeks but as folks level up you should see new faces and more folks to group with at the mid levels on our way to 50.

Thank you Amelinda.

I personally voted no on the global OOC channel for fear that it would be a cesspool but I am happy to see that it will be moderated and actually serve a purpose. Props to you for dedicating yourself to the server.

Any idea if this servers Timeline will be closer to the classic timeline, or way behind schedule like P99? The timeline should be a faster version of classic, to make it easier on the Devs, imo. Try and get both servers up to Luclin in a year and a half.

Even playing 2 hours a day, you run out of content every few months, with how much easier everything is now that we have had 12 years to get better.

Neither red p99 or blue p99 will ever see Luclin. Luclin is generally accepted as the beginning of the end of eq. It was a terrible expansion overshadowed only by the more terrible expansions that subsequently followed.

Blue pop would have a hard time supporting Luclin era and red pop is going to have a bitch of a time dealing with even Kunark era unless something changes to make people wake up and realize that they are giving up eq pvp to play shitty other games because of relatively small bullshit.

Custom type content has been discussed as being considered after Velious.

I do agree that Luclin and AA's were the end of Classic EQ. But I would still like to know what the plans are for the timeline on Red. Since all of the code is already in place for Blue, it shouldn't be too hard to bump Red up a little bit faster.
