Page two and this is a good thread. Will continue reading but expect it to become complete shit by page 5. This is what red has been allowed to become.

One thing that still puzzles me.
I've been reading the Kill leader boards & there are some inter guild kills.

Is it a case of "keep your friends close but your enemies closer still"?
Do some people join a guild to get access & plot or are they more a case of kicks when boredom set's in??
Or am I getting carried away here with Drow House politics?

Guildies might kill one another to prevent an exp death in a pve encounter or to leave a no rent key or other item on a corpse for later use. Perhaps there are other reasons, but probably not actual pvp.

Honestly I joined the server via a few posts about <Fresh> and I had unrealistic expectations about the level of support lower level people get. I had higher than average expectations and was disappointed. I decided to delete that toon and re-roll without any affiliations.

I made a class I wanted to play, not one that was 'super op in pvp' and i'm now 35 in just a few days and having a blast. I have at least one friend from every guild and tons of people on /friend that aren't tagged as well. Sure i'm a shitty undergeared tank, but everyone I group with is undergeared usually.

We get griefed, people like IooL and Tegi will camp and grief you, but they want you to get upset. I've seen people yell at them and they are satisfied by that and continue to camp. I find it hard to get mad having played on VZ etc. It's a pvp server, you get griefed...that's just how it is, you will die...probably a lot on your first toon.

If I was starting again or telling some one 'how' to start I'd simply say make what you will enjoy playing and don't tag into a guild. Being in a guild will remove a lot of opportunities for you.

Do I plan on joining a guild eventually? Sure, but I think it's easy to see what each guild is about when you can openly affiliate with them without much issue. Empire obviously runs most of the raiding, Azrael I don't really know much about other then they talk a lot in ooc, lack of self control usually means a younger in age group of people. Fresh seems to always be getting killed in yellow text, but from what I understand they are just breaking into raiding...and while skill might matter some gear matters a lot more.
