What are the downsides of raiding in the Plane of Growth?

It seems like there are unique items from the dorfs, Coldain Prayer Shawl and the Ring quest. Are there similar quests for the other factions?

yes. every faction leader will have a head you can turn in to the opposing faction for prizes. belt of dorf slaying. gauntlets of dargon slaying. tormax head gives three rewards. similarly, there's the bracers of benevolence quest from skyshrine that gives different rewards that you turn back in until you get the one you most desire.

there are quests in ToV.

but you also have to have faction to do the armour quests.

For anyone who cares - Here is a spreadsheet and picture comparing the monk armor sets.

All a monk really needs is the Wrist Wraps from any of them for Pouch of Quellious!

I read on a different forum that there is a change the bonus damage for two handed weapons. Can anyone clarify what the changes are and how that might effect weapon selection for a monk pre-Epic.

I'm rocking Jade Mace / Stave of Shielding right now and was thinking about moving up to Adamantite Club / Stave of Shielding, but if the two hand damage bonus is significant I might be better off with a Peacebringer.

There should be an incremental change to damage bonus that works above level 50 and is made on weapon delay. Basically the slower the weapon the higher the bonus, so tantor's tusk at 50/60 should be crazy. I do not know when this change will occur though. I vote to make it happen right away along with hybrid exp penalty being lifted, get more of those nights out there to help out the exp groups.

Hybrid XP patch occurs a couple months after launch and the weapon damage bonus patch occurs around 10 months after. Developers have already stated that they intend to follow actual timeline as closely as possible.

The 2h re-balancing patch isn't until the "end" of the Velious timeline.

Great, because that plan really worked out the first time, didn't it?

Giant Scalemail gear drops a lot in Kael. Decent stats but a bit on the heavy side whole set of it.
