Hydra's aren't used that commonly in gameplay that I've seen. People either swarm zerglings, roaches, or broodlords generally. Corrupters / Queens are the usual zerg counters to air attacks.

I can stutterstep in my sleep, having to tab between hightemps and sentries and deploying your powers just right is a lot more challenging

hydras take a lot more money than they used to and are slow as shit unless you get upgrades / spread creep. you have much to learn young grasshopper

ironically, zerg is the weakest, slowest race at the beginning. if you want to gogogogog zerg rush the best bet is probably 4 rax marine allin or 10/15 gate zealot rush.

Hydras are a lot more common now in PvZ, and see some use in ZvZ depending on spawn locations and openers. However it's not remotely as common as 3hatch/5hatch hydra in broodwar.
