Okay when you died, you could see your body laid out. For a couple of seconds.. sometimes with npcs still running against it.

(I think?) this was also the case for bleeding to death. It would show your body like you were dead, but say 'you're bleeding to death', and you would have a purple bar. If you regained enough hp to not be purple, it would switch back to first person view.

I remember that. I just didn't think it was a big deal. I like it though the way you fixed it.

Yes, you're correct. The doom and gloom music would play for a few seconds and then you would zone to respawn. EQ players were the original t-baggers, (rampant in modern halo and similar games)
