Honestly sometimes I get the feel some of the staff hates Everquest and the player base. For those people that don’t like to be bothered, I wonder, why are they even in this at all?

I can't argue anything in your post aside that they provide us content and support. The problem is that can't be enough. The community here has been here for quite some time, and we need some leadership that will guide us. Maybe even just be more present. It is now owed to us though, but if I had a community this large, I'd just peace-out. I would never want it in the first place.

The staff here has it. They have thousands of people in their hands. Some just want to be happy, some are already happy, the problem I've noticed over the years is their presence seems to be fading away...

There is an obligation.

For real, enjoy the damn holiday. More GM events would be cool but having them on a holiday is like the most autistic time.

I don’t think they owe us anything, I am happy that P99 is here at all. The players are and always have been the leaders of the community, on live and on here. Like others have said previously, the times when there have been GM events, people still find a way to complain. They have 2 earthquakes a month now, people still whining. It is the vocal minority yes, but it’s still got to be disheartening like when Braknar put a lot of effort into creating those Halloween quests only for people to shit all over them.

Yes, I have to agree with those who also said the GMs probably hate the players for the most part. The ones they come in contact with the most and have to deal with through petitions are the mentally ill/anti social beards and I’m sure that would leave them jaded after a while. Perfectly understandable.

Again, im just happy they haven’t pulled the plug yet.

I think the main point here is that the idea of hospitality in the sense that you are using it is a concept intended for paying customers. Just be happy that P99 exists at all! It could be worse, a lot worse. Thank you Llandris, Nilbog, Rogean!
