good intentions are there but they make some pretty questionable decisions... no wipe with people like me who dont even know the game that got in 2 50s in 3 days before they locked down the xp.

Now taking down the server from Friday to Sunday...

That WILL extend the downtime a bit but we’ll come back up in a MUCH stronger state.

We’re sorry for the disruption, but it’s in a worthy cause… to provide the best service ever in the DAoC Dawn of Light universe.

Told my buddy that last night. Even with the exp fix, We are ~ level 25 and don't know jack shit about the game. All we know is pull mobs to the animist

Soooooo.... what ever happened to this? I'm assuming it never released, but did they ever state why? It's obvious from the turnout of Origins 2.0 that the demand is definitely there, and this is 6 years after that announcement?

The project was scrapped over time, despite there being a big demand for it, hence why this server's name alone is reminiscent of the promises of the original.

It does suck that they didn't wipe the server, after addressing the buggy xp as well as named raid mobs. It created quite a gap between players who started early and got easy levels and easy gear, and those who started late and won't have similar gear for a long time.

Mobs like the Dragons, those in Tuscarian Glacier, and even Yar, shouldn't be done so easy by a small group. Then a few days later they make those mobs much tougher, and let the players who got in on the easy loot slide.

It wouldn't be such a big deal on a PvE server, but it IS a big deal on a RvR server.

Well they did do the right thing by retroactively nerfing all the SH gear that people had gotten.

I picked up a couple 17 dps weapons out of that place and a staff with 50 all focus and like 30 int it was stupid OP for the time. I'm glad that when they removed the zone they went through and broke all the items that dropped there too.

In the item descriptions they even ask you to vendor them, screw that though I got my hands on some server uniques!

I wish they'd do that for all the broken mobs that were being taken advantage of, for easy epic end-game loot as well.

Yeeeaaahhhh....

I may or may not have a bank filled with 100% quality items and some dragon loot I found off a few mobs in Dartmoore that a matter cabby just so happens to be able to solo.
