Lag is worse than ever now in permafrost.

I will try to do some testing in the zone for awhile on my test box, to see if I can reproduce the issues.

If not, I guess I can get on live and look to see what is going on. But that will probably have to wait until later in the week.

I get absouletly crippling lag in Permafrost. This is the ONLY zone I have issues in.

It takes me 4-5 minutes to even zone into Perma, and then it fails half the time and kicks me to server select. It took me 4 times today to even get in the zone, once I got in, I couldn't open doors, I didn't test anything else.

Worse lag here too. >5 minutes to refresh track. Yesm wireless ISP (Clearwire, rural Western Washington) and a wired LAN in house, but the connection is fine. 196 ping (which is good for us).
Vista and XP affected, both vanilla, Titanium UIs.

Perma is the only zone that does this for us. Spell memming/casting, /tells (all chat), interaction with zone elements like mobs and doors, and particularly track refresh can take literally minutes. My husband will still see me levitating several minutes after I dropped the buff.

We were just standing in the flag room.

I'm still (unsucessfully) camping a cloak in perma with my druid and I noticed something new about this....

It seems that the lag is far worse when the zone is heavily populated....I tried camping it a bit when the zone was infested with high levels doing whatever the hell it is they do when they sit around /role waiting for, I assume, vox to pop. Had the zone pretty much to myself for a few hours earlier and it would still happen, but far less frequently.

Also, I noticed when I was alone in the zone I could pretty much go to the Alchemist room and hang out there free of lag for some time, but once I started moving around the zone some, it would kick in again and I would have to zone to clear it. Most significantly, it would almost always start lagging once I entered the Preacher area....Didn't notice it so much If I just went to the Archeologist, but pretty much every time I would go back itno the preacher room it would start lagging, especially if I engaged a mob.

Not sure how all that fits together but hope the info helps.

Seems just the opposite to me. Once we started raiding for vox the lag disappeared completely, with over 40 people in zone, including others not in the raid.

I was in perma last night with a group camping the scryer(bard, mage, cleric, shaman, war) and experienced this strange lag even with a 38ms ping to the server and no packet loss. Basically it seems as if it starts as a slow delay of input going to the server, to a severe degree as time passes, but the data received was fine. At one point it was taking 2 minutes for my spell to go off, but everyone else was casting and seemed fine. This would happen no matter how many times I re-logged, changed ip, or restarted the comp.

Once we died I noticed as we ran back in that I didn't experience the lag at all until a mage in my group summoned a fire pet. So to test it I relogged and healed outside of the group. By doing that I no longer experienced any lag for the remaining 20+ min we were in there.

Hopefully this helps in figuring out the issue..

Having same trouble in Sol A now. I had been there half a dozen times already with no problems. Last night however the whole group experienced exact same kind of lag as in perma. We we're farming gnomes. Lag built up slowly then became unplayable. Relogging fixed it but it built up quicker with each relog.
