USA is just superior in every way. We win so much that we get tired of winning sometimes.

USA Swimming is shaping up nicely, considering how shitty they've been over the last 3 years. Pleasantly surprised with Kings 100 BR, and Murphy was faster than I thought he'd be in that 100 BK.

Ledecky will win the 200 FR and 800 FR for sure. Murphy has a great shot in the 200 BK. Phelps will certainly medal in the 200 FL, and Phelps and Shields are both medal contenders for the 100 FL. Phelps and Lochte will likely go 1-2 in the 200 IM. Adrian could very well upset McEvoy in the 100 FR, and both Adrian and Ervin could medal in the 50 FR (Manadou will win that by a mile). USA will win the Men's 4x200 FR and 4x100 MR handily, and the women will win the 4x200 FR and will medal in the 4x100 MR.

You Aussies have the Women's 50 and 100 FR supposedly in the bag, and Kromowidjojo will sneak in there somewhere. So could Manuel and Weitzel.

In swimming alone, USA > Aussies, and there is such inflation of medals in swimming that it could tip the balance of the total medal count.

Yah Aussies suck at swimming atm.

Our heydays were during the 2000s. 2004 was the best year.
There was an article down here a few years back berating our swim team for been lazy fucks and not living up to the standards put on them.

If you're a female swimmer you're 2x as likely to win gold vrs our male swimmers.

Real sad shit tbh.

For a country of 23 million tho we do good on the sports stage.

There's plenty of other countries with 5x the population and barely scrap a few gold in

I will be watching Aus V USA in the basketball -- an upset is on thre cards. Will be blacks vrs whites.

They said Phelps would never medal again on drugs and with his stance on recreational drug use.

"Since the 1936 Olympics, the U.S. Olympic Men's Basketball Team has compiled an astounding 130-5 record, while earning a record 14 gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals."

GL with that.
