Check server population on 3/25 (or today for that matter) and tell me the devs actions are depriving this server of a vibrant playerbase.

Many, many people (including myself) don't really give a shit if you are reluctant to play because you can't get the items you want. And they're currently playing on this server now, pre-nerf or nerf -- they don't care. Peak population has gone from 400 up to around 1000 since I started, so obviously there's quite a few people who aren't bothered by it.

I started after everything was nerfed. This server rocks, I have had a blast. If you wanna play, just play, but if you are going to start bitching before you even get started - don't bother.

I think its a stretch to compare what im talking about to boxing... and I never said the devs are depriving the server of a playerbase, you seem to be twisting what im saying

You are positing that pre-nerf items being unavailable to new players is keeping people from the server. I'm saying the server population is doing just fine without these supposed people.

And those of us who have been here longer than a week have seen this argument over and over especially with regards to boxing.

Overall I agree with Dantes. You are getting off on the wrong foot by complaining about this stuff. Try joining the server and getting a feel for the community before you start demanding the devs cater to you. And if you really want a guise, roll a rogue or a bard.

Sticking to the classic timeline and protocol is more important than drawing in players who refuse to play unless they can get pre-nerf classic items.

PvP Events or GM events to get those items most definitely do not stick to the classic timeline or protocol.

Stranger things have happen.. I recall people bitching about LR dropping like candy during a gm event I had first started playing on this server, so I wouldn't completely rule out rare items being in a gm event (especially based on what the 'bog said). Only way to possibly get one under those circumstances would be to start playing and get lucky. Can't loot one if you never start a character. [You must be logged in to view images. Although Casino is not planned at any point. (I personally dont care either way). But as a sidethought about it. Since we are stopping at velious and there are (so far) multiple years between expansions. At a certain point the plat in the economy must get enormous... so something like a casino could get rid of couple billion plat out of the economy [You must be logged in to view images.
