edit: also, what the fuck is with that room of skeletons? Whose idea was it to put them so close that they couldn't be pulled except by pulling ten at once?
They can be split multiple ways actually. More zones should have certain areas where specific classes are required. SOmething that most MMO's don't do anymore.

The very first time I went into CB was pretty scary for me. I was in a group on orc hill. We were doing good and then they wanted to go into CB. I remember thinking it was going to be instant death. This was the source of the orcs! This was their home! I had visions of the place swarming with them and just getting owned. Then we went in and we settled into the slaver room by the cabin and I had a blast (was my first group ever).

After that, I think the only zone that really scared me was Charasis - "There are floor traps everywhere. Be careful, it's instant death!" and Chardok. So many casters and nasties. Chardok got to be old hat tho since I ended up going there SO many times to help with epics (and to get my own as a cleric).

I remember camping that stupid monk pipe for about 5 hours and then when the mob finally popped, the whole camp popped. We killed the mob and then wiped without looting the pipe. After 5 hours I was not going to accept that situation and I ran back from FV where I was bound, DA'd back to the camp, looted the pipe and died.

Good times.

I always hated Kedge. I did a TON of Phinny kills there. As a cleric I was kind of key for that fight. Whenever anyone wanted me to help on it I was happy to do so - with one proviso... I will zone in and the group will COH me to the phinny pull ledge. I had too many instances where someone said "Of course I know the way there!" only to get us lost and killed.

Kithicor at night. Since there we no maps in classic, I usually followed the paths through zones to get to my destination.

Not a very good idea in that zone at night.

Plane of Hate

If you raided PoH during classic I'm sure you are aware of 2nd floor trains. The first time an Ire Ghast feared your ass into a yet unexplored Plane of Hate was pretty terrifying.

LOL I remember the entire POH raid would camp out to clear aggro anytime someone got Gflux'd up to the ceiling on the first floor because they would pull a train...

PoF holds the most horror for me, despite beating it bad after some expansions and solo breaking it.

My first two experiences with it were failed breaks, with all my gear trapped in there. Then my third time I was invited to a clearing and still vividly remember the Samhains (i had never seen the wk scarecrows) and the giant Amys... The bell that rung... CT shouting and the mobs responding.

Kedge was annoying, i was always afraid of drowning. The sound of a char starting to drown made me jump out of my chair. Of course I kinda hate water irl too.

I never had this problem, at all - Lguk's pathing was leaps and bounds ahead of MM, Unrest, Kedge, or Sol B. Which camp are you referring to?
In the BR if you swim up to it and put your body slightly in the wall, assuming you are an appropriate level to draw aggro, you will draw like twenty mobs at once. It's pretty clear actually since you'll see the "FRRRRROOOOOOOAK" message twenty times, and subsequently poo yourself.

Also on the live side there's a mob you can pull (the EE placeholder I think? Not sure) and it goes through the wall, social-aggroing several mobs with it.

Whoever said the skeletons are splittable (without a monk?).. well I guess I haven't tried hard enough then.
