Pets eat 50% of xp if you are solo AND it does more damage than you do. Outdamaging your pet gets you full xp and you never lose xp to a pet in groups even if the pet does all of the damage.

crap that explains it, I have crap mana and pet with 2 hander before lvl 20 will always out damage me.

Interesting thing is I REALLLY want to play a class that can weild SSOY like I wasnt able to in Original, the problem is that lvling as a warrior without a healer by your side and good starting gear is nearly impossible

The whole goal of The A-Team has been to do cool stuff in the endgame without tracking and 3AM batphones. I think for the most part we've been successful.

Definitely. Everyone wants to come back and do a bit more content than they did on live, but instead the endgame here is hugely overcrowded with everyone else thinking the same thing. Add a lack of progression, so you can't just wait for another expac to draw off the top guilds, and things can get really frustrating.

I understand why Rogean implemented Variance. Without it, we would have literally 300 people on Trakanon's spawn point every time. The problem is that variance 'solves' things by making the raid scene so soul-suckingly onerous that most people just aren't willing to get involved at all.

At least competition mixes things up a bit. Getting all the loot from the same mobs over and over again would get pretty old unless there is a guild competition. I mean TMO and FE had a general hate for one another. So naturally that feud was more than just getting loot for your toon(s). It was about the other guild not getting the loot.

At least that's what I've gathered from reading the forums. I think it makes the game more fun to compete over raid mobs. One day I'll level a toon into the 50's and find out but from what I can remember from live... I liked the competition.

As I have posted at least a million times, I'm not against competition. I'm against tracking and batphoning and variance. There is a huge difference. Anyway I have failed every time in explaining this, so carry on.

my warrior was my first character on the server. it's been a long journey so far, but it was certainly not impossible. there's lots of generous people on this server, i was handed some pretty good items at low levels simply because people felt bad for the warrior in oasis wearing leather and wielding bronze swords. =p
